Terry & Terry Architecture prides itself on its ability to combine innovative architectural theory and practice. The partners Alexander and Ivan Terry both graduated from the Masters of Architecture program at U.C. Berkeley and each have over seventeen years of experience, offering both design concepts and professional production services in architecture.
The partnership has experience with a wide variety of projects, including the design of a single family and multi-family housing, retail, and office space, tenant improvement and urban design. In 1992 it acquired a hillside house project that has become a testing lab for innovative aesthetic and structural concepts. The close involvement with building construction and fabrication in this project has enabled the partnership to acquire and refine a first-hand knowledge of the relationship between concept, construction and project realization.
