Project Story
The homeowners had wanted the calming effects of Zen applied on the interior design of their home. They had wanted a serene retreat from the stress of everyday living. Unique to the Japanese style is the use of the soothing brown, gray and green palette – from the furniture, walls to the embellished textiles.
The living area is decorated with traditional prints hanging on the wall. In the master’s bedroom, a beautiful embroidered silken Kimono makes an artistic wall art. Standing Shoji and Bamboo screens were also used for focal accents. Framed botanicals in the bath area reflects the Japanese love for nature.
