Project Details
The Neo Farmhouse is a 3,300 sq.ft. home with additional guest quarters, garage and barn situated on rolling farmland. We used our clients’ personalities and history as our springboard for the design concept. Their character created our architectural language – a vernacular agrarian building with an “edge”. Neighboring farm properties with their clusters of barn buildings served as further inspiration.
The forms used for the design of the Neo farmhouse are familiar and simple. Where the complexity arises is in the arrangement of these forms and the introduction of more industrial modern materials.
The core structure is a gable-formed element. This core is made of thick RASTRA walls, an environmentally sensitive and highly effective wall system.
