Project Story
Step into the era of Jane Eyre and Jane Austen. For this house, Robert Passal sought to give the ambiance of another century through elaborately carved teak furniture, strategically chosen decor pieces, and plush upholstery. A winding stairway greets guests as they enter, and in the next room — the dining room — formality is the order of the day. The formal effect is enhanced by prize pieces like the wine decanter and candelabra on the buffet counter. A grand piano stands in the living room, surrounded by pouf chairs and lithogaph prints.
The master bedroom is a haven of harmony with its neutral colors. The children’s bedrooms are a different story. The girl’s bedroom is a picture of femininity in yellow and pink, while the other bedroom is a different character in reds, blues and ochres.
There is a conservatory for more informal entertaining, where a twig chandelier for overhead lighting provides a lighthearted touch.
