Project Details
When baseball star Jorge Posada and his wife commissioned Robert Passal to transform this 3,400 square-foot, four-bedroom, 4 1/2 bath apartment from raw space to home, they asked him for something that was “modern, sexy, and functional for kids.” The result is a home where sophistication and serviceability go hand in hand.
The house is a showcase of the couple’s extensive art collection, which includes the works of artists Tierney Malone, Robert Longo, Bob Nugent and Carlos Ferguson. In the foyer an enormous bronze hand, an 18th century Tibetan artifact, is one of the very few allusions to Jorge’s profession. The entry is moody and romantic, while the dining and living rooms are bright and homey.
