Project Details
The house is a picture of old world elegance and charm, and filled with curios and interesting accents. Chinoiserie jars, lacquer boxes, glass stemmed lamps, an antique jewelry box serving as a makeshift book stool, a cut-glass mirror in the bathroom — every piece is a “find,” the kind you’d walk into an antique shop and pick up first. Damask wall coverings, valance curtains, and printed upholstery patterns all combine to produce an air of Edwardian elegance that makes you expect that high tea will be served in a few minutes. In contrast, the bathroom is a picture of simplicity, where an early 19th century style pedestal bathtub makes bathing and soaking a luxury experience. Anyone for tea?
