Although contemporary style ranch homes are not unusual, it is seldom that we find this kind of elegance in such locations. This residence, which was done in muted monochromatic tones, spells elegance with a capital E. The high, open beam ceiling and open area design provide a perfect foil for the contemporary style furniture and carpeting that designer Claire Ownby chose for the living room. A distressed coffee table with a soft metallic finish stands out amidst the velour upholstery. The formal dining room features soft leather upholstered chairs and classic island lighting, while the coffee nook exhibits a more casual ambiance with its printed upholstery and natural fiber floor rug. The muted color scheme is continued in the bathroom, where transparent glass separates the shower area from the rest of the room.
