Project Story
Originally designed as a spec home, this estate was snapped up by its current homeowners after seeing it and then converted into a place that spells fun, family, and friendly. The multipurpose room showcases a projector screen and flat screen, with matching moviehouse-style seats for that ultimate moviehouse-like ambiance. The fun atmosphere continues in the highly used family room where a game table holds court. The living areas of the house – all five bedrooms and the detached two-bedroom guesthouse – were decorated in a neutral palette of rust, yellow, gold and ivory. In the powder rooms, fabric walls add to the rich effect and act as a sound buffer to the stone work and high ceilings. The main hallway serves as a gallery, with little nooks to house the homeowners’ extensive art collection of more than 50 pieces in various mediums.
